Automation of Money Transfers and Payments at Unistream Bank

UniStream Bank faced challenges in automating money transfers and payments through its payment system. The existing system relied on an unsupported and undocumented API, resulting in slow transfer processing speeds and unsatisfactory customer service. It was necessary to ensure compliance with legal requirements (115-FZ), improve user support, and provide uninterrupted service for banking payment agents.

Task

To develop a platform for automating the full cycle of money transfer and payment processing through the Unistream payment system that:

  • Integrates with existing and unsupported APIs.
  • Increases transfer speed and enhances customer service.
  • Complies with legal requirements.
  • Provides support for banking payment agents and system users.

User Journey and Interface Design

A highly simple and user-friendly interface and functionality were designed for operators and agent managers, significantly reducing training time and increasing productivity.

Integration with API

A functionality was implemented to interact with all operational methods of the payment system's API, including over 50 types of transactions. This significantly sped up processes and improved customer service.

Compliance with Legislation

Applicable legislation was thoroughly reviewed, and processes and artifacts were set up to comply with all Central Bank requirements, ensuring that Unistream Bank fully adheres to the 115-FZ regulations.

Agent Support and Interaction with Cash Desks

A proprietary service was implemented and maintained to enable seamless interaction between software and agents' cash registers and 1C systems, providing full automation and convenience for all participants in the process.

Result

More than 50 services for processing payments and transfers have been developed and successfully implemented. The software has been deployed and is used by over 300 users, supporting an annual turnover of more than 1 billion rubles. The system ensures uninterrupted operations for banking payment agents, significantly improving the speed and quality of customer service.

The project, which began in 2018, continues to function successfully, maintaining the reliable operation of the Unistream payment system and ensuring compliance with all necessary requirements.
